Overstock.com Review

I love Overstock.com. I bought a crib from Overstock.com when they were still somewhat unknown, before they were cool. I got free shipping because I spent enough for the free shipping promo they had at the time, but I was still sold on the $2.95 flat shipping rate. So much so that I have purchased from them again. Most recently I have perused the discount furniture on Overstock.com and looked for matching area rugs. I've been married eight years and have decided it's time for new linens, so maybe my next purchase will something for the bed and bath. There's just so much I want to buy on Overstock.com!

Overstock.com is offering TWO discount codes!
  • Use code 121745 for 10% off Overstock products (excluding movies, books & electronics. Can only be used once per email address).

  • Use code 202234 for FREE shipping on electronics.

My Coupons Textbook Rentals Review

It's been five (almost six) years since I played the college game. Getting into classes (not to mention actually finding those classes on campus), crowded computer labs, funny smelling things from the cafeteria and, oh yeah, THE BOOKSTORE (dun dun dun...). The most popular place on campus that no one wants to go to. I remember the Bookstore line going down the hallway and splitting in two directions, up the spiraled staircase (into another hallway) and outside and around the building. Even though it was only a short five years ago, times have changed. Oh how I would have LOVED the option to buy my textbooks online.

On the My Coupons textbook rental page you can find discounts to sites like TextbooksRUs, CampusBookRentals.com, BAMM.com, Chegg.com and BookRenter.com. Many of these sites offer textbook rental (rather than buying) and that could save you tons of cash. More $$$ for Raman Noodles, yeah!

"Beyond The Attractions; A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers" Book Review

I had an English teacher who taught me to always read a book with a highlighter in hand. So I sat down with my copy of "Beyond The Attractions; A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers" by Lisa M. Battista and drown my copy of the book in green highlighter. There is so much good information about visiting DisneyWorld with toddlers and preschoolers in this book that my green highlighter didn't get much of a break. In fact, I needed that green highlighter just the other day, I grabbed it and it was out of ink from my highlight-fest with "Beyond The Attractions; A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers".

There is A LOT to think about when traveling with toddlers and preschoolers. It takes a fully packed bag just to get to Grandma's house, so a cross country trip can be quite intimidating! "Beyond The Attractions;A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers" has tons of tips for traveling with wee ones. One of my favorites is to pack little prizes to hand out a long the way - keeping the excitement of what's to come while also keeping them occupied (for a few minutes, at least!).

"Beyond The Attractions; A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers" has reviews and advice for every hotel on Disney property. This books makes the planning stages SO much easier so that you can actually enjoy your time when you arrive and not have to be stressed. It's not just a pre-vacation planning book. "Beyond The Attractions;A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers" gives advice of what to do when you get to DisneyWorld, including tips on planning around the little one's schedules while also remembering to be flexible. "Beyond The Attractions; A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers" even has a chapter called "Hidden Activites" which walks you through each park in the Magic Kingdom and tells you fun activities not to miss - some that are "must-dos" (like getting a personalized hat at the Chapeau on Main Street to some activities that you just might not think of that will delight your little ones. Want some inside information on Disney Parades? "Beyond The Attractions; A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers" has that! This book also includes a chapter on safety in the park, and a chapter on paying for the whole thing. I love, love, LOVE the Planning Checklist at the end of the book (page 169) - it starts with a check list at 6 months before the vacation, then another checklist at 3 months, 2 months, 1 months, down to weeks then down to days ahead. It also has a Packing List for preschoolers. The book is worth getting just for those lists!

"Beyond The Attractions; A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers" is a must have for a DisneyWorld vacation with toddlers and preschoolers.

Moms Into Fitness 60 Day Slimdown Review

Let's just get it out there and say..... It's NOT FAIR that a Mom of two looks like THIS:

Yeah. My two kids looks about the same size as those darlings, but I sure don't look about her size! But I can. Lindsay Brin shares her workout regimen in her Moms Into Fitness series of workout DVDs. The 60 Day Slimdown can help you get a rockin' swim suit body in no time. The 60 Day Slimdown comes with four DVDs to help you get back into shape.

Who is Lindsay Brin? Here, she can tell you herself:

Just checking out the stuff on Moms Into Fitness' website I would love to try the Lindsay Brin Dance Jam. It looks like too much fun to be a workout video.

The Complete Pregnancy Workout DVD set is something I wish I would have found about two years ago.... before the two kids! But since the two kids are already here and it is what it is and I'm pumped up for The 60 Day Slimdown which includes the Postnatal Bootcamp as one of the DVDs in the set (boo-yah!).

Since I received The 60 Day Slimdown less than a week before this review was due, I don't have the time to post my personal results. But from just my short time with the DVDs I can see how as used as directed they could surely yield some results. I did have some problems with downloading the paperwork from the website. Nontheless, I am super excited to get working out. I'm going to show my swimsuit who's boss!

The time is NOW to get The 60 Day Slimdown and get ready for Summer!

*PS - At the beginning of this post I wrote that that Lindsay is a Mom of two, right? Weeeeelllll... make that a soon-to-be Mom of THREE! Follow Lindsay's pregnancy and weight loss journey for the third time on her blog. This woman is amazing!

Lindsay Brin,13 Weeks pregnant with Baby #3 video:

Kidorable Review & Giveaway {CLOSED}

Kidorable is the line of must-have outerwear gear that cultivate creativity in childhood. Astronaut raincoats, ballerina rain boots, frog umbrellas... at Kidorable you can find a whole outfit (and more) for your fireman, your fairy , your mermaid and your pirate. Give your child an active imagination with items from Kidorable.

I love the attention to detail that Kidorable gives to their products. The ballerina umbrella has a ballet shoe for the handle - the pirate umbrella had a sword handle. Kidorable's description of the umbrellas as "imagination tents" is so adorable it tickles me pink. Kidorable's rain coats are about the cutest outer wear I have ever seen. The pockets are all so creative and unique. And the "wheels" on the fireman boots have me oogling. How can you not want to buy from such a creative company?

Kidorable's outerwear and accessories are functional and fun (<--- "fun" is the most important part). They have plenty of variety for girls and boys! Having one of each gender, I know it can be tough to find something for both. Sometimes when I'm shopping I end up with a pile of stuff for the girl and just a few things for the boy, but at Kidorable I found stuff I want to buy for both my girl and my boy. Kidorable didn't forget the wee ones - they have a line for babies, too!

Kidorable started in 1992 with lion, cat and bear umbrellas and hangers. The first year was a success and every year has gotten better. They now have 14 different theme lines, including the English Roses line inspired by Madonna's best selling book - and their products range from hangers, umbrellas, rain coats, rain boots, backpacks, towels, gloves, scarves, embroidered shirts and even bookends. Kidorable has had success in growing their company, but most importantly they are growing childrens' imaginations. Check out Kidorable in the news.

Kidorable. Adorable outerwear and accessories for kids.
