CampusBookRentals Review

You can rent a car. You can rent boat. You can rent a house, or a dress for Prom.  Did you know that you can rent textbooks?  Back in the day I spent a good percentage of my tiny college budget on textbooks.  You don't need a college degree to know that money flies fast out of your pocket at the campus bookstore.  Oh how I wish textbook renting were around when I was in college.  Truth is, I very narrowly missed getting to use CampusBookRentals.  I was literally THIS close to CampusBookRentals and didn't even realize it until a month ago when I was reading my University's Alumni Newsletter and scanned an article about outstanding Alumnus which had the name of the founder of CampusBookRentals who graduated the same year that I did.  So when this review came up I had to do it because we're Wildcat family.

What's all the renting rage these days?  CampusBookRentals can save you about 40-90% off Bookstore prices!  That will buy you some extra Raman Noodles for your empty college cupboard.  There is NO fee to sign up.  CampusBookRentals has FREE shipping - both ways!  Shipping is always the killer for me.  I'll find a great deal online, but shipping costs so much that I'll change my mind.  With CampusBookRentals you get it, use it and send it back with a big zero for shipping cost!  If you drop a class you have 30 days to send the book back.  Say you have to take a late exam - just keep the book a few more days, it's no problem with CampusBookRentals' 15 day grace period. Along with renting, CampusBookRentals.com also buys books.  It's super easy to enter the ISBN of the book you're looking to sell on the website to receive a quote.  If you ever have any questions CampusBookRentals has live support staff on hand to help you out.  Follow them on Twitter for giveaway, coupon and scholarship information.

Here's my extra credit:
With every textbook that is rented CampusBookRentals donates to Operation Smile. Operation Smile helps children with clef pallets all over the world heal their smiles and make the world a better place.

  1. Students beware of CampusBookRentals!!! I rented my book from them on October 13, 2011 and on October 19 I received an email telling me that they "are very sorry" but the book is not in stock. I was expecting the book to arrive today at the latest so I could get my reading done...considering the class starts on October 23. They informed me that I wouldn't receive a refund for 5 to 7 business days, but in an attempt to smooth things over they offered me a measly 10% discount on my next order. So being the broke student that I am, not only am I a matter of days away from my class starting and have no book...I'm also going to have to come up with even more money to get a book somewhere else. Stay away from this business!!!
